Togarashi Shichimi Spice Blend
Togarashi, commonly known as shichimi or seven spice, is a very popular seasoning used in Japanese cuisine. The flavor-rich profile adds medium spice to popular Japanese dishes. Our Togarashi combines the unique qualities of roasted Sichuan Peppercorns and red chili flakes, with flavor enhanced by nori, ginger, garlic, orange zest and toasted sesame seeds. Sichuan Peppercorns are highly prized for their slight numbing effect and are the most expensive peppercorn worldwide. They are sometimes difficult to obtain.
Togarashi can sprinkled into bowls of ramen, miso, and other soups and noodles. Add a bit to your guacamole and mayonnaise to create a spicy aioli spread or dip. Togarashi is such a wonderfully diverse seasoning, you can add it almost any dish you would add salt & pepper.
