Huckleberry Dessert Sauce:  Stephani herself adventures into the mountains surrounding Colville in pursuit of the treasured wild huckleberry. The wild huckleberry cannot be cultivated domestically and grows in high elevations of Northeast Washington, as well as Idaho, British Columbia and parts of Montana. Deep purple, loaded with antioxidants and brilliant in flavor. Chef Eric makes this wild berry in to a versatile sauce that can be used for milkshakes, topping for shortcake, ice cream, cheesecake or pictured here over a scratch made Belgian waffle. (Do not forget the whip cream!)

It can also be used for fabulous and refreshing beverages: make huckleberry lemonade by combining muddled lemons, Huckleberry Dessert sauce and water or add a splash of soda for extra zing.
